Obituary for Carol Ann Amborn
Carol Ann (Nash) Amborn, age 64 of Norwich, CT passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at W. W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT. Carol was born on June 17, 1955 in Groton, CT to William E. Nash and Phyllis L. Nash (Gorneau) both predeceased. She was a 1973 graduate of Norwich Free Academy. Before retiring, Carol worked as an Educational Assistant at Three Rivers Community College. Carol is survived by her husband and love of her life, Craig O. Amborn. They united in marriage on August 10, 1974 at St. Catherine’s of Sienna in Preston, CT. She also leaves behind her two beautiful daughters, Tracy Evangelista (husband John) of Mangilao, Guam and Christina Amborn of Enfield, CT. In addition to her immediate family, she is survived by 2 grandchildren, Katie and Aidan (A.J.) Mullins, Port Charlotte, FL one predeceased brother, William E. Nash, Jr., 3 sisters and 2 brothers, Linda Mathieu (husband John) of Lebanon, Roger Nash (Wife Deana) of Walterboro, SC, Sharon Cote (husband Daniel) of Norwich, CT, Teresa Lapine of Walterboro, SC and Michael Nash (wife Jennifer) of Preston, CT, along with several nieces and nephews. Carol will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and sister. During her retirement years, she loved spending her time traveling, eating out, shopping, going to the Casino and truly enjoyed spending time at family gatherings. There will be no calling hours. Family, friends and others whose lives Carol touched are invited to the funeral services that will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
