Obituary for Dorothy Turbak
Versailles - Dorothy (B) Turbak passed away Wednesday afternoon at Colonial Health & Rehab in Plainfield. She was born in New London September 15, 1931 the daughter of Joseph and Mary Mitchell. Dorothy had owned and operated the former Turbak's Cafe in Occum, retiring in 2001. On September 22, 1956 in St. Joseph's Church Occum she was united in marriage to Thaddeus Turbak. He passed away April 29, 1994. Dorothy is survived by her son Michael Turbak and his wife Kimberly of Canterbury, her daughter Sandra Shea and her husband Jake of Lebanon, her brother Edward Mitchell and his wife Marge of Mystic, numerous nieces and nephews, and her special friend and neighbor Katie. Her family would like to extend special thanks to Dorothy's physicians and caregivers. All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church Occum Monday at 10:00 am meeting directly at Church. Burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Baltic.
