Obituary for George N. Desrosier
George Desrosier passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday January 31, 2019 at the age of 86. Born in Norwich on February 23, 1932 to Rose and John Desrosier, he is survived by his wife and love of his life Elizabeth A Desrosier. He is also survived by son Mark A. Desrosier and wife Alexandra. Daughters Victoria Hackbarth and husband Craig, Cynthia Thompson and husband Phil, Sandra Rathbone and husband David. George will miss all of his 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. George is also survived by sister Rita Shea and husband Jeramiah. He is predeceased by his son Norman Desrosier and brothers Herve,Romeo,Henry,Edward,Omar,Gerard Desrosier, sister Jean Rondeau.
George served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1954. He worked at Pratt and Whitney as a machinist before starting his own business G.N. Desrosier Builders. George was a real craftsman and loved his trade. A mass of Christian burial will take place Monday Feburary 4, 2019 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Church Taftville, CT. Burial immediately following.
