Obituary for Harry Dwayne Tomes
Harry “Dwayne” Tomes 51, was born May 21, 1968. Passed away December 11, 2019 with his family by his side. He was the devoted husband of Norma Tomes, who they lovingly shared the last 30 years.
Dwayne was a driller for Western Mass Blasting for 20 years, where he worked along side of his father Harry Tomes, who taught him all there was to know about the drilling business and also worked with his special Uncle Ben Tomes.
He enjoyed watching the Patriots with his father and grandkids on Sundays, fishing, tinkering and rigging up new projects, hunting in Maine with the “guys”, Red sox, and family rides with his friends and kids on his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife Norma, father HarryTomes, Mother in Law Agnes Larkin, Uncle Ben Tomes. His children Bobby and Shannon Johnson and Jenni and Chris Butler. His grandchildren, Caleb, Aiden, Brayden, Evan, Christopher, Milagro, Alexis, and Larkin. His sidekick Jack Russel “Willy” And his mother Beatrice Brown.
This family and his dog Willy was everything to him. He was an awesome Dad and Grampy. Dwayne was one of the funniest guys that had a smart mouth comment for everything and was
notorious for giving “the dead finger”, also the biggest heart imaginable.
Dwayne was the strongest person who never gave up. He beat Non-hodgkin's Lymphoma like a boss! And he fought till the end with Ewing Sarcoma. Thank you to all the staff at ECHO, Dr. Vanessa Johnson and Dr. Dennis Slater who took wonderful care of him and went above and beyond for our entire family, The staff on A-2, and Dr. Varma who loved him like family.
Dwayne requested to not have any services.
