Obituary for Henrietta Fontaine
Windham - Henrietta Fontaine of 14 Club Rd., formerly of Taftville and Largo, FL passed away Wednesday morning at St. Joseph Living Center. She was born in Baltic September 12, 1919 the daughter of Henri and Antoinette (Belisle) Desjarlais. Henrietta was once employed at the former Ponemah Mills of Taftville, and also worked at Uncas-On-Thames Hospital in Norwich, in the tuberculosis care center. On May 30, 1941 she was united in marriage to Raymond J. Fontaine. He passed away December 20, 2004. Henrietta is survived by her son John Fontaine and his wife Terry of Homosassa, FL, three daughters Estelle Dooley and her husband Richard of Taftville, Arline Girard and her husband Bill of Franklin and Susan Fowler and her husband David of Hampton, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Rudolph and Roland Desjarlais, and her sister Cecile Rondeau. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph Living Center for the care Henrietta received. All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church Taftville Monday at 10:00 am meeting directly at Church. Burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Baltic. There is no visitation. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Joseph Living Center 14 Club Rd. Windham, CT 06280. Arrangements by Godere Funeral Home Taftville.
