Obituary for Linda H. Godere
Linda H. Godere, 76, of Plainfield passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday January 6, 2023 at Backus Hospital in Norwich. She was born in Portland, Maine January 11, 1946, daughter of the late Elmo and Evelyn (Tobey) Houghton. Linda worked for many years an an office manager for ECRC Physical Therapy until her retirement. During her retirement, Linda enjoyed knitting, cross stitch and painting, all of which she gave as gifts to her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Laurie A. Velidow and her husband Kenneth as well as her granddaughter Emily Velidow and her partner Anthony Barile. Linda is also survived by her sister Barbra Mosier and her husband Sam as well as Barbara’s children David Roberts and Rebecca Rainville and a great niece and nephew. Linda will be greatly missed by all especially her friends of over 50 years Bob and Luci Heyworth and Pete and Priscilla Mathieu. Visitation will be held at Godere Funeral Home 21 N. Second Ave Taftville, CT on Saturday January 14, 2023 from 12-2 PM with a memorial service at the funeral home at 1:30 PM.
