Obituary for Pamela Forsyth
Uncasville- Pamela (Moss) (Moulton) Forsyth, of Looking Glass Circle, Uncasville, CT passed away on March 23, 2016. She was born March 8, 1944 to Douglas D. and Blanche Korner Moss, formerly of Willington. She married Harold L. Moulton in 1961, and graduated from Windham High School in 1962. She earned her Bachelors degree from Eastern Connecticut State College and went on to obtain a Masters Degree from The University of New Haven. She worked as a social worker for the Department of Children and Youth Services in Norwich, and later as a Counseling Psychologist at the Coast Guard Academy Center for Counseling and Development. Pamela was passionate about her work with cadets and was instrumental in formulating the policy on disordered eating. She also taught courses on suicide and sexual assault prevention, and took a humanitarian trip to Puerto Rico through her work to help rebuild an orphanage. She retired from the Coast Guard Academy in April 2006. Pamela enjoyed traveling, painting, was a member of the Mystic Art Association. She had a true love for her Yorkie, Cassie.
She leaves behind her children, Harold Moulton Jr. and his wife Jacqueline, daughter Holly Steinke and husband Vincent; four grandchildren, Danielle Kalinowski, Nycole Kata, Courtney Mullins and Hannah Steinke; three great grandchildren Willow Kalinowski, Teagan Kata, Pyper Kata and a great grandchild on the way, all local. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Powell, her brother, Douglas Moss, her niece, Margaret DeBari, and several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Jane Opie.
Calling hours will be held Friday April 1, 2016 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Godere Funeral Home, 21 North 2nd Ave, in Taftville. A graveside service will be held on Saturday April 2nd at 11:00 A.M. at The New Willington Hill Cemetery, Rt 74, Willington.
