Paul A. Jette, 1942-2016, beloved husband of Hanorah (Noreen) Jette of Norwich.
Paul A. Jette, 73, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born Nov 11, 1942, the first son of the late Wilfred and Corrine (Chamberlain) Jette. In addition to his wife, the love of his life, of 44 years, he is survived by his three sons of whom he was so proud, John Paul and wife Marta of Norwich, LTC Jeremiah (Jerry) of Kentucky, Joseph (Joe) and wife Adrianna of Bogota, Colombia and his two precious grandchildren, John Paul and Dominika Marie. He also leaves behind two brothers, Peter and wife Marsha of Norwich and Phillip and wife Dottie of North Carolina, and his sister Joan Jette-Lotreck and husband Eric of Lisbon; including his very dear sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Paul was a devoted family man who worked tirelessly for his family.
Paul worked for many years as the Plant Facility Engineer at the Norwich Hospital until its closing. He was an electrical contractor, a trade he thoroughly enjoyed practicing. He served honorably in the United States Navy for 27 years. He was a Lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, Ponemah Council #34, and the American Legion. He was also an amateur radio operator (K1QYC).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated August 15th at 10 AM at the Cathedral of St. Patrick in Norwich, meeting directly at the Cathedral with burial to follow immediately. There are no calling hours. Godere Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Patrick Cathedral School, Norwich, in Paul’s name.
