Obituary for Jane Ann Phaneuf
Taftville - Jane A. Phaneuf of South A St. passed away peacefully June 24, 2017 at home with her daughter by her side. She was born in Norwich March 28, 1940 the daughter of Raymond J. Boenig, Sr. and Rosa (LaMarine) Boenig. A lifelong Taftville resident, Jane had been employed as a Certified Nurse's Assistant at Orchard Grove Specialty Care in Uncasville, retiring in 2005. On June 25, 1960 in Sacred Heart Church Taftville she was united in marriage to Raymond G. Phaneuf. He passed away June 10, 2006. Jane was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church Taftville, a member of the Sacred Heart Choir for over 50 years, and a member of the Taftville Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by two sons Mark Phaneuf and his wife Mary of Copperas Cove, TX and Thomas Phaneuf of Pawcatuck, two daughters Mary Maheu Ingelsby of Taftville and Anne Phaneuf and her boyfriend Erik Peterson of New London, her brother Raymond J. Boenig, Jr. of Zephyrhills, FL, 5 grandchildren Michael, Jennifer and William Maheu, Michelle Phaneuf and Aubrie Rose Ingelsby, and her special friend Shirley Fitzgerald of Lisbon. All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church Taftville Thursday July 13th at 10:00 am. Burial of cremans to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. There is no visitation.
